On every December 1st, World AIDS Day is held. This day is held in order for communites around the world to honour and commemorate those who have died to AIDS and those who now live with the effects of it. World AIDS Day can also be looked upon as a day in which communites take into consideration the achievements that have been made towards fighting AIDS and the work to still be done in order to fight it. A red ribbon is used a symbolic figure to represent "World AIDS Day".
