Google Latitude is a new service which is provided by Google which enables you to track friends, family, employees and others and vice versa. Google Latitude works instantly and is available to anyone who wants to use it. It is also able to work as an application on a cellphone. Some people may argue that this new service is not the best thing because it invades privacy although there are functions in which people can limit so that people can be restricted to what they are allowed to track.

I have just created my first "Twitter" account. Before being introduced to Twitter by Mr. Vogel, I had never even heard of this site before. Ideally, this program was first created to be accessed via cell phones, although it now has become very populated by all users. I am curious to see what this program offers and all the different features of it. If you would like to visit my Twitter site, click the following URL: http://twitter.com/kimfrancisco

Microsoft Visual Studio C++
Recently, we have just started working with the program "Visual Studio C++". We began with a "Hello Word" program, like we usually do, in order to get a basic and straight forward example of the program. I am excited to see all the components that this program offers. After being assigned several different exercises dealing with C++, I have become aware of the capabilites of the program. Also, after testing certain different numbers, coding, functions, etc I learnt what is necessary in order to make your program work or how to fix the error messages that appear in the output panel(if any). If you are interested in downloading Visual Studio C++ or and of its products, visit the following link: http://www.microsoft.com/express/download/ , where you can select the product of your choice.

Speedtest Service
Conducting a speed test on your internet connection speed may be something that you have always wanted to to. Speaking for myself, I know that at times I get frustrated because my computer is running so slow, although at other times it has an excellent speed. I was given a URL to a website in which I could test ths speed of my internet connection. After conducting my speedtest the results that I was provided with showed as followed: the download speed was 1742 kbps(kilobits per second) and for upload speed it was 37 kbps(kilobits per second). I am unsure of what a normal computers speed is in order to compare my results to, although I do believe that my computer could run faster. If you are looking to check your internet connection speed, visit Speakeasy Speed Test at www.Speakeasy.net

After briefly looking through Mr. Vogel's Twitter microblogging site I chose one article out of many postings. The article I chose was called "Speed Test". This article tested/displayed the speed of internet connections that vary from place to place in the world. It was cool to see how internet connections in some places are so much different than others. To check out more on this speed test that was controlled visit : n http://http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/

Smartphones - - Blackberry Curve

Recently, having purchased a Blackberry Curve, I would have to say that is my favourite smartphone. I do believe that other phones such as the iPhone are very intelligent and a first choice for many people. I choose the Blackberry Curve as my favourite because I think that it has many smart features and I think getting a hands-on experience with it is what has caused me to choose it as my favourite.
